Sea Star Waldorf School is dedicated to providing education inspired by the Waldorf philosophy for the children and families of South Florida. Most of our faculty have completed a recognized Waldorf teacher education program and are committed to teaching in ways that foster truth, beauty and goodness. This foundation maximizes the potential for learning, loving and creating to unfold naturally in children while helping to remove obstacles in their paths. Academics, art, music and movement are interwoven to meet the developmental needs of the whole child. At Sea Star, we are preparing children to be conceptual thinkers whose self-understanding, compassion, expressiveness and creative problem-solving skills equip them to take on life to its fullest potential while providing an antidote to violence, alienation and cynicism. There has never been a better time to contribute to the peace of our world. Our private school in Boca Raton, Florida is a state licensed school and the curriculum is inspired by Waldorf education. We participate in various state programs like Step Up. We serve all of South Florida including Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties with a wide range of programs from mommy and me, early childhood development and up through eight grade with a current enrollment of 94 students and we continue to grow every year.

  • Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives. The need for imagination, a sense of truth, and a feeling of responsibility – these three forces are the very nerve of education.

    Rudolf Steiner
  • We enrolled our daughter in SeaStar first in the mommy and me program and then in Rosebud and we are so happy we found this amazing school. We look forward to seeing her grow up in the SeaStar community.

  • Every time I step into Sea Star I think to myself, ‘I wish I had the opportunity to attend this school when I was a child?’ It is an extension of our home. I am deeply grateful for Waldorf Education. Children learn using their whole brain, which manifests joyful, confident, well-rounded adults. Did I mention my children love Sea Star?

    Colleen Paul-Hus
  • “We measure the success of schools not by the kinds of human beings they promote, but by whatever increases in reading scores they chalk up. We have allowed quantitative standards, so central to the adult economic system, to become the principal yardstick for de nition of our children’s worth.”

Kenneth Keniston, Professor of Human Development at MIT
  • “I believe that Waldorf education possesses unique educational features that have considerable potential for improving (all) education in America. The time is ripe for the public schools to explore the ways in which ideas in Waldorf education might be explored in their own settings.”

Eliot Eisner, Ph.D., Professor of Education, Stanford University
  • “If you’ve had the experience of binding a book, knitting a sock, playing a recorder, then you feel that you can build a rocket ship—or learn a software program you’ve never touched. It’s not bravado, just a quiet confidence. There is nothing you can’t do. Why couldn’t you? Why couldn’t anybody?”

Peter Nitze, a graduate of the Rudolf Steiner School of New York City, graduate of Harvard and Stanford, and director of an aerospace company.
